Our School Heads from the different schools of districts 5 and 6, our master teachers and my co-participants, good afternoon!

Shifting from K-12 CURRICULUM to MATATAG CURRICULUM, for some of us, may mean stepping out from our comfort zones. And stepping out from our comfort zones may either break us or transform us into the person we never thought, we could ever be.

As a Grade 4 teacher, I recognize the big responsibility, the transformative journey, and the challenges that I might be facing upon the implementation of this new curriculum.

But would I choose to get broken even if I have all chances to be molded into a better educator, and the choice to become the better version of myself?  Of course, NOT!

In embracing this new MATATAG CURRICULUM, positive mindset is a key. With a positive mindset, comes positive results. Success is not merely a hope but an attainable reality if we maintain a growth-oriented mindset.

This significant change of our curriculum challenges us to evolve and adapt in ways we might never have anticipated.

But let us consider it as an opportunity, for us, to better lead our learners to thrive in an ever-changing world and achieve their fullest potential. This transition challenges us to grow beyond our established methods and familiar routines.

And I am more than grateful enough to our department, THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, and to our division, _______ CITY DIVISION, for giving us competent leaders and highly proficient speakers who have dedicated time and expertise to prepare us for the coming change.

They have equipped us with knowledge and tools necessary for the successful implementation of the MATATAG CURRICULUM and for guiding and ensuring us that we are not just participants in this change but active drivers of it.

And I know for sure that along the way of the implementation of this MATATAG Curriculum, they will always be there every time we need them and every time, they feel that we need them.

With this confidence and assurance in my mind, Sir ___________, on this very day, Friday, May 17, 2024, here in __________  Elementary School Covered Court, in the presence of our supervisors, school leaders and co-participants, I accept the challenge. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED, Sir.

And since I firmly believe that this challenge is not just for the government’s, not just for the educators, not just mine, but OURS, as a society.

So, at this juncture, I would like to request all my co-participants to stand. And together, with our loudest voice and strongest conviction, let us say, “Challenge Accepted” in 3, 2, 1. Go!

Challenge Accepted.

Thank you so much everyone for your support and cooperation.

Together, let us move forward and embrace the CHANGE!!!
